Daily drop-in tours

Our Guides offer tours of the Cathedral at 11.30am and 2.30pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (subject to Cathedral closures).  Step into iconic moments of English history, from the Roman market city of Chichester, to the Civil War and siege of the city. Modern day, medieval stone carvings sit alongside world famous contemporary works of art from the likes of Graham Sutherland, Marc Chagall and Ursula Benker-Schirmer - to name but a few.

Booking is necessary, please visit the Visitor Desk where you can purchase tickets. 

£6.00 per person, under 12s Free. Tickets can be purchased in person on the day.

  • Tours start in the North Transept.
  • Tours last approximately 45 minutes.
  • Please be aware this tour requires walking and standing.

Spire Visits

Our Guides offer Spire Visits to ascend through nearly 950 years of history, guided by knowledgeable volunteers, to the Cathedral’s spire at 12.00pm on Wednesday and Friday (subject to weather and Cathedral closures).

£16.00 per adult, £14.00 per student and £10.00 per child.

  • Tours start in the South Transept.
  • Tours last approximately 45 minutes.
  • Please note that Spire Visits require climbing 164 spiral steps and there are no places to sit throughout the tour.
  • This tour is not suitable for anyone under the height of 1.2m. 
  • Babies and young children will not be permitted on this tour.Children, aged 16 and under, must be accompanied by a responsible adult on a one-to-one basis.
