Our Safeguarding Management Committee is made up of a range of independent members and is chaired by Austen Hindman, who is a Headteacher at a local school and who serves as a Non-Executive member of Chapter and as Chapter Lead for Safeguarding. 

The committee proactively advises Chapter on the Cathedral’s strategic response to the safeguarding of children, young people, vulnerable adults, victims and survivors. The committee does not have operational responsibility for Safeguarding at the Cathedral.
