Reverend Canon Tim Schofield, former Precentor at Chichester Cathedral, will be returning to preach at the 9.30am and 11.00am services on Sunday 1st November.
In June of this year Canon Tim Schofield retired after 14 years as Residentiary Canon and Precentor at the Cathedral. Tim’s wife Julie also retired, having worked closely to develop children’s ministry in the form of Pebbles, a now weekly group which takes place every Sunday.
The occasion in June, which took place prior to the return of public worship (in-line with guidance from Public Health England), was marked through an online service and virtual card - where members of the Cathedral community were invited to contribute their thanks and best wishes.
It is a great sadness that we are prevented from having an opportunity to express our gratitude on Tim and Julie’s final Sunday with us, but they will return when we can worship together in the cathedral once again so that we can thank them and wish them well in retirement.”
If you wish to join the Cathedral's 9.30am and 11.00am services on Sunday 1st November, we ask that you register your details in advance. Those who are unable to join us for this service online can stream the 9.30am service on our website.
