Staff and students from the University of Chichester enjoyed a fascinating after dark experience of Chichester Cathedral during its ‘Night Cathedral’ event on Tuesday 12 February.

This is the second time the Cathedral Dean and Chapter have held the free event in conjunction with the University Chaplaincy. Doors were kept open into the evening from 7.30 to 10pm, and the experience was open to the entire University community, plus family and friends, and included student performances of dance, music, poetry, and also community art.

The unique environment of the historic 900 year old place of worship provided a truly atmospheric setting on a dark winter evening.

The Cathedral has strong links with the University, regularly hosting student musical and artistic events, as well as graduation ceremonies.
