Chichester Cathedral welcomed its new Canon Chancellor, the Reverend Canon Dr Dan Inman at a special Evensong service on Sunday 6th October during which he was ceremonially installed by the Bishop of Chichester, The Right Reverend Dr Martin Warner.
The new Chancellor received a warm welcome from the large congregation, including many friends and family who had travelled to share the special moment with him.
Dan said: “I’m enormously grateful for the prayers and the hospitality I’ve received from the Dean, Chapter, residents of the Cathedral Close and the wider Cathedral community since arriving in Chichester. It’s great finally to be embarking upon this new ministry and I really look forward to supporting colleagues across the Cathedral in the coming years, particularly in Learning and Engagement, as we seek to grow in wisdom, knowledge and the love of God.”
Dan was most recently the Chichester Diocesan Director of Ordinands, having been previously Chaplain and Junior Research Fellow of The Queen’s College, Oxford. He succeeds The Very Revd Dr Anthony Cane, who left the Cathedral earlier in the year to take up the position of Dean of Portsmouth.
