Lent, culminating in Easter, is the most special season in the Christian calendar. Recalling the forty days and forty nights during which Jesus fasted in the desert and rejected Satan’s temptations - it is a time of preparation for celebrating his final victory at Easter in the glory of his cross and resurrection.
Journey with us through the poignant moments of Holy Week, retracing the steps of Jesus' final days - from the triumphant entry on Palm Sunday to the solemnity of the Last Supper, the anguish of Good Friday's crucifixion, and the jubilant resurrection on Easter Day.
This year the Chapel of St Clement will contain special displays of Easter Lilies in memory of those who have died. Using this chapel will enable people to sit, pray and remember those who they love. The names of those who are being commemorated will be displayed in the Chapel. If you are making this donation for, or in remembrance of a loved one, please email their name to chris.george@chichestercathedral.org.uk with the subject 'Easter Lilies' once you have made your donation.
