Exploring first hand in the Cathedral the architecture and wealth of examples of textiles – both large and small- students will consider symbolism, colour, shape and technique.
A short tour will focus on the John Piper Tapestry, Chagall window, the Lazarus Reliefs and the new Piper inspired Cathedral Vestments.
Working with an external tutor, students will make their own design sketches before doing either print making, wet felt making and/or creating their own textile panel using block print, applique and embroidery.
£450 per day (Minimum 10 students and maximum 30 students)
