Justin Harrington

Justin became a member of the Cathedral congregation on moving to Chichester when he retired in 2017. Originally from Hove, he was educated in Canterbury and then lived in various parts of the UK before returning to Sussex when the opportunity arose.  In 2019 he became a director of Chichester Cathedral Enterprises Ltd and a member of the Cathedral’s Finance Committee.  He subsequently also took on the role of Chair of the Risk and Audit Committee.

He is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and prior to retirement was Chief Operating Officer of the insurance services division of an Indian IT and business process outsourcing company.

“I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to serve the Cathedral and its community as a member of Chapter. Cathedral worship has been a common thread throughout my life, from attending school in Canterbury and then being a regular worshipper at other Cathedrals as we moved round the UK for work reasons, including during a time when our son was a chorister.  Having experienced the joy and benefits of the music, the worship and sense of community that a Cathedral can provide, I am delighted to be able to contribute to Chichester Cathedral’s continuing mission”
