In the 1930s the Cathedral showed some short religious films in the nave, but after that there was a long gap until 2013 and a showing of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s 1964 classic The Gospel according to Matthew. This was done in collaboration with Chichester Cinema at New Park, who have also showed several seasons of ‘Spiritual Cinema’ introduced by the Cathedral Chancellor. We have also worked with Big Book Media, an independent film and production company based in Pulborough, most recently on a showing of their film The Gospel of John. Film screenings for 2018/19 to be confirmed.
