In recognition of the generous ongoing support we receive from Sussex Historic Churches Trust, Chichester Cathedral is once again entering a team in the Trust’s annual Ride & Stride on Saturday 11th September. Sussex Historic Churches Trust (SHCT) supports urgent repairs and restoration for historic churches, chapels and meeting-houses across Sussex. Its funds are distributed from sponsorship raised on the annual Ride & Stride – a ride (bike or horse) or walk, in which people all over Sussex walk or cycle between churches, exploring and enjoying the countryside.
Ride and Stride is an event that all ages can enjoy. Come along and show your support for visiting teams on the day, join the Cathedral cycling team on a route starting from the Cathedral, or choose a walking route: for further details please contact Ali George 01243 812480 trust@chichestercathedral.org.uk
Participants are encouraged to raise money through sponsorship, which will directly help the Cathedral, as 50% goes directly to your chosen Church, the other 50% to the SHCT fund.
