Chichester Singers: Handel - Messiah

Throughout the past four centuries of choral music, one work has shone brilliantly and continuously, defying changes of society, musical taste and style – Handel – Messiah. There is a simple reason for this. It contains the most sublime music with arias such as Iknow that my Redeemer liveth and The trumpet shall sound, instrumental beauty in the Pastoral Symphony and a series of masterly movements for the choir culminating in the Hallelujah and Worthy is the Lamb choruses.
