Book after Breakfast with Children & Families service volunteer, James Allport

Chichester Cathedral Friends are pleased to present "The Book after Breakfast" with Children & Families service volunteer, James Allport.

Tea or coffee, and biscuits will be served at 10.00am followed by an informal talk and discussion led by James, a volunteer who leads the Children, Families and Caregivers service on a Sunday morning. James's choice of book is Orbital, an inspirational novel by Samantha Harvey.

About the book; 'A team of astronauts in the international Space Station conduct scientific experiments and test the limits of the human body. But mostly they observe. Yet, although separated from the world, they cannot escape its constant pull. The fragility of human life fills their conversation, their fears and dreams. They begin to ask what is life without earth? What is earth without humanity?'

Discussions are always friendly and lively at Book After Breakfast, so do come along and join us for an hour or so. Tickets are £5.00 including refreshments and can be booked by visiting the Friends Desk in the Royal Chantry Offices in Chichester Cathedral Cloisters on Tuesday and Friday mornings - but do call us first on 01243 812980.
