Karon Read is the Hon. Secretary of the Chichester Cathedral Friends, an organisation that has contributed to the life and work of the Cathedral for over 80 years.
After graduating, Karon worked in interior design for a bespoke cabinetmaker before undertaking various writing and journalism short courses. She went on to work as a sub-editor in BBC News and then as an editor in digital and internet news services at the Associated Newspapers Group. Karon moved on to work in the press office at the auction house Christie’s before moving out of London to be Head of Communications at the Edward James Foundation at West Dean College and Gardens near Chichester.
In recent years she returned to design projects, working for interiors brand Neptune as a senior designer and trainer around the UK. Karon now lives in Rowlands Castle with her husband Roger.
