The Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity is one of the Cathedrals of the Old Foundation and has been governed for the most part by the Constitution and Statutes of 1968 and by custom.
A new Constitution and Statutes were drawn up by the Transitional Council established in accordance with the Cathedrals Measure 1999, to replace those of 1968, and came into effect on 15 September 2000. In more recent years, amendments have been made to them by the Cathedral Council (by an Instrument under sections 28 to 31 of the Measure).
The latest constitution and statutes were agreed in July 2023, in line with the new Cathedrals Measure (2021).
