This week is the 37th annual Volunteers’ Week organised by National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). This year’s theme is: ‘A time to say thanks’.

Volunteers are at the centre of life here at Chichester Cathedral. From our Welcomers and Stewards, through to our Library volunteers and committee and council members. The time and expertise you so generously give, helps us in fulfilling our Christian mission and serving our community.

This has been no different throughout the pandemic – with volunteers providing a warm welcome to all who visited the Cathedral and attended our services.

To say thank you, we would like to invite you to a special coffee morning on Zoom, taking place this Friday (4th June 2021) from 10.30am. During the coffee morning we’ll be sharing exciting updates from different areas of the Cathedral’s life – including our upcoming plans as we welcome back sightseers. Please do contact us to receive the invitation if you have not already.

This Autumn we will also be hosting a special Volunteers’ Evensong on Tuesday 14th September at 5.30pm followed by a Reception at 6.15pm.

Thank you for all that you do, and we look forward to the time that we can all be together again.

The Very Reverend Stephen Waine
Dean of Chichester
