Autumn Reading Group | Bonhoeffer’s Life Together

In this six-week course, spread across October and November, the Rev’d Dr Ian Stackhouse, the senior pastor at Guildford Baptist Church, explores the meaning and shape of Christian community using Bonhoeffer’s brief classic, Life Together (1939)

The course will offer us a chance to think about what makes for a healthy Christian community, how to cultivate healthy habits in our spiritual life, and how to pray. Ian is the minister at Guildford Baptist Church and is the author of several books including The Gospel-Driven Church (2004), Primitive Piety: A Journey from Suburban Mediocrity to Passionate Christianity (2012) , Letters to a Young Pastor (2019), The Day is Yours: Slow Spirituality in a Fast Moving World (Authentic 2007); and Praying Psalms: a Personal Journey through the Psalter (Wipf and Stock 2017).
